Enjoy winter without the heat loss and summer without the heat gain!

About Energy Efficiency

Energy efficient widows and doors not only save you money, they improve your homes comfort, efficiency, amenity and resale value.

Windows and doors do more for your home than providing light, ventilation and view. They are also in important element in your homes comfort, energy consumption and overall efficiency. More heat is gained and lost through windows and other glazed surfaces in an average insulated home than any other aspect of the building fabric.
Energy efficient windows make your home more comfortable, dramatically reduce your energy costs and help to create a brighter, cleaner and healthier environment. The location and size of your window and door will have an impact on the thermal performance, as will your buildings design, orientation and shading. Therefore selecting the right windows or door, and the right glass can provide significant improvements in your homes comfort and efficiency, whilst maximising the amount of light.

About Energy Ratings

Beyond comfort and financial benefits, residential and commercial building must now meet minimum energy efficiency requirements prescribed in the Building Code of Australia, an initiative developed in response to concerns on greenhouse gas emissions.
As part of the federal government’s commitment to improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the built environment, the Australian Greenhouse Office helped to underwrite The Window Energy Ratings Scheme (WERS) .
WERS enables windows to be rated and labelled for their annual energy impact on a whole house, in any climate of Australia. As an independent body, WERS provides a fair, rigorous and credible system of a product’s energy performance.
Through extensive and flexible range of products and glazing options available from Tamar means that our windows and doors compare favourably in WERS performance to make your home more comfortable all year round.
